I'll have to re-photograph this painting tomorrow in the sunshine to get the colors right but it was fun to slop on paint with the palette knife. This one is all about texture.
My brother and I went down to the Nisqually Refuge a few mornings ago. The low lying cloud cover didn't lift until about the time we left but the thimble berry blooms provided a bright spot in this view of the old barn.... perfect for a limited palette study.
This is a painting I did a while back of my niece Milissa, I'm posting it in honor of her high school graduation today. If it's true that you reap what you sow, she's had a pretty good harvest so far. :)
