Run Off

I can hear the chickadees busily chattering in these branches, I want to paint this larger so I can include them in the image too.

Dancing Queen

I went for a walk with a friend and her grand kids yesterday.  It was freezing.... a good day to dance!  Today it snowed, no April fooling!

Tuggers

Hello again after a rather long absence.  I've discovered that I'm really not a painting a day kind of person after all.   Although I admit the effort was a good learning experience, I'm going to aim for a more realistic target of 2 to 3 images a week.  These two tug-monsters know how to have fun and my goal here was to capture the energy and body language of their game.

Spring Pond

I guess I'm wishful thinking, although our weather has been considerably calmer lately.  After cold, snow and rain we are now in an "inversion" where the temperature up at Mt. Rainier is warmer than down here at sea level.... go figure?  It's dry though so that's nice.  Anyway, I'm thinking spring and a weekend field trip somewhere.  I had great plans to simplify this image which I'm afraid I didn't quite meet, sigh.  I like the passage of dark water though, it still has potential so I may have to try again another day.
