Niche

One more (not so) still life from the ocean.  This time below the tide line.  One of my favorite positions... buns up poking about in tide pools.  The texture and diversity you find when this other world, between land and sea, is revealed is no less than incredible.  Here you see blue mussels, acorn and thatched barnacles and gooseneck barnacles and a little sea lettuce in the crevices.

Sandpiper on a Stroll

If you're calm (and hold your coffee cup just right) you can stroll along with the wave of sandpipers collecting breakfast on the morning tide.
