I watched my first gymnastics meet in person the other day. While the viewing is challenging (a very visually and energetically busy place) you can certainly feel the focus and concentration of the athletes. This wasn't an upper level meet but it's pretty cool to see how poised these kids are. This painting was an experiment, I think it could be better, painted on a smooth surface and maybe in a larger format, but I really like the tension in the composition.
