I've been working on this awhile, inbetween other projects. It is a work in progress, I can already see some changes to be made, but I'm provisionally happy with it. Although I like painting portraits, sometimes I just want to do something different, so this is an "illustrative" portrait, the story of my life with horses. It's a mix of painting and collage with lots of layers. Each detail brings back many great memories and some life-shaping ones too.

Very nice! I love the way you wove everything together. Are you going to do more of these? I too have a long history with horses, and so, I really appreciate your collage work.
